General Questions about Loser's Queue
This section answers the most popular questions about the 'loser's queue' and matchmaking in League of Legends.
What is Loser's Queue in League of Legends?
- 50% Winrate Principle: Many players believe that Riot Games' matchmaking system intentionally balances matches to keep their winrate around 50%. If you win frequently, you might be paired with weaker teammates or stronger opponents to 'even out' the results.
- Punishment for Winning: Some players claim that after a winning streak, they are placed in matches with teammates who perform worse than usual or with beginners, making it nearly impossible to win.
- Riot Games Patent: The community often references a Riot Games patent describing a system that uses the old honor system to identify a 'team captain.' According to the theory, this 'captain' is intentionally paired with less experienced players to 'carry' the team to victory.
- Losing Streaks: A less popular theory suggests that players who lose frequently are placed in the 'loser's queue,' where their teammates perform worse than usual, amplifying their losses.
It's important to note that none of these theories have been officially confirmed by Riot Games. However, they remain a hot topic in the community. LoserQ.lol helps you objectively analyze your matches using statistical data to determine whether you're facing a systemic issue or if your losses are due to other factors, such as personal performance or randomness.
Why do I get weak teammates?
Weak teammates can result from various factors: your current MMR, winrate, role in the team, and even the time of day you play. Riot Games uses complex algorithms to balance teams, but perfect matchmaking doesn't exist. LoserQ.lol helps you understand whether your teammates are objectively weaker or if it's just your perception.
Does Riot manipulate matchmaking?
There is no evidence that Riot Games intentionally manipulates matchmaking. However, players often feel the system is unfair, especially after a losing streak. LoserQ.lol provides objective data so you can evaluate how balanced your matches truly are.
Does winrate affect matchmaking?
Winrate can indirectly affect matchmaking because it is tied to your MMR. As your MMR increases, you'll face stronger opponents and teammates. However, winrate itself is not a direct factor in matchmaking. LoserQ.lol helps you understand how your winrate and MMR impact match quality.

Can you avoid feeders on your team?

However, LoserQ.lol helps you understand how often feeders appear in your matches and how it impacts your results. Use this data to focus on aspects of the game you can control.

How does the winner/loser index work?
- Loser's Queue Index: We analyze each player's KDA, deaths, and damage compared to their teammates. Players with exceptionally high death rates, very low KDA, or significantly lower damage than their team are flagged as feeding. If your teammates had more feeders than the enemy team, that game counts as 'loser queue.' The percentage shows how many of your recent games were like this.
- Winner's Queue Index: If the opposite is true — the enemy team had more feeders than your teammates — you'll see a 'winner queue index' with the corresponding percentage.
This index helps you objectively evaluate how balanced your recent matches were, independent of whether you won or lost.
How to read match analysis statistics?
Each player receives an Impact Score (0-10) based on combat, economy, vision, and objectives — weighted by role. Carry and Feeder badges are determined separately using team-relative analysis: players with exceptionally high KDA and damage compared to teammates earn 'CARRY', while those with high death rates and low performance are marked 'FED'. The team comparison counts feeders on each side to determine match balance.
